I was curious about an abandoned movie theater and strip mall, so I decided an impromptu photo shoot was the best cover in case there were angry security guards or something. There weren't. (Oh, and for the record, I didn't go inside.)

Awesome pictures!
Please get these wheels.

I would LOVE those. Pretty much anything in that color and a moderate size would be perfect.

I can imagine it now, and yes it would be absolutely perfect.

Honestly, awesome looking car. White on white with the 90's-ass grille... perfection.

For sure! I just wish I was less lazy when I was painting the hubcaps. I could have taken the time to clean off the steelies and do those instead, but without jack stands that would mean doing it one wheel at a time, and I just don't have time for that.

Steelies certainly are cool but if any car can rock hubcaps, it's this one.

cool pics! your car looks great. 15x5 Miata rims will fit and you could plastidip them.
If you ever think you might need a spare motor let me know. We have two spare 1.9s that we never used with the Lemons car.

Yeah, I've been checking Craigslist every now and then for Miata rims. I'd definitely like to get a set sometime, but I'd at least like to finish off these tires first.
And I doubt I'll need one any time soon, but I'll definitely keep it in mind! Are the 1.9s just backup engines, or is that what you're running as well? I'd assume you'd use a 1.8 for the extra bit of power, but then I'm sure it's not exactly stock anymore regardless so I dunno.

Augusta has an abandoned mall. Pretty interesting.

Cool Yokohama sticker. Do you have Yokohama tires?

Heh, nope. I also have a Falken Porsche on the back. I think I'm running Firestones, but I can't remember.

I don't think so. It's in Duluth, GA. Most explorers live ITP, so I doubt they've come out here. I'm actually planning on taking my group to it soon. The theater as well. UrbEx is my other favorite hobby.

Old school shot of me with my Escort back in the day (the Bieber hair was much more on point back then):
I miss that car…

Nice!! I have to say, though, I'm jealous of your wheels. I think they're an inch bigger than mine, and also not covered in plastic.

Yeah they weren't bad little alloys, especially for a mid-90s econobox. They did have some surface finish wear issues though. Almost every one I see with them these days has the same issues, except for the ones on this otherwise terrible example my mom spotted in Kentucky:

Yeah, every time I see them at Pull-A-Part, I'll get all excited and then realize that they look horrific... Oh well.
